How To Wash Your Keeper Gloves
- If you want to take care of your goalkeeper gloves wash them immediately after use in luke warm water.
- Soak the gloves in the sink and wash by hand, using your thumbs to gently remove the dirt – please do not apply too much pressure as this can tear pieces of the latex. Do not use any form of brush or scrubber to clean your gloves.
- It is not necessary, but applying a small amount of liquid dish soap to the gloves will help ensure that all of the dirt is removed and make the process quicker.
- Once you have removed all of the dirt, rinse the gloves in clean water and leave to dry naturally. Some gloves have a hook loop sewn on the wrist strap which you can use to hang them with.
How to Dry Your Goalkeeper Gloves
Place your gloves on a towel, you can apply pressure with the towel to your gloves to soak up excess water, before leaving them to dry naturally. Do not wipe them with the towel as this may tear pieces of the latex.
Leave your gloves palm face up and leave to dry naturally.
Do not dry your gloves by using the following methods:
- On a radiator
- In front of a fire
- In a tumble dryer
- Using an iron
- Using an airing cupboard
- In direct sunlight
- By ‘wringing’ them out
Please Note that the above methods may cause some damage to the latex which could, make them dry and brittle.
